Microsoft® FrontPage® Installation Instructions
Microsoft® FrontPage® makes it easy to produce professional quality web sites.
With powerful tools such as built in image mapping, spell checking and
WebBot components, and a familiar interface (like other Microsoft® Office® 97
applications), you can get great results fast. BLUEHILL.com is proud to support
FrontPage® extensions in their entirety.
In order to use Microsoft® FrontPage®, you will need to do two things.
- First, you must purchase Microsoft® FrontPage® 98 from your local software
company.
- Second, you need to install the server extensions onto your virtual server.
In order to do this, you need to connect to your virtual server through a
telnet session. Once you are connected you may use these commands:
fpinstall
The fpinstall command installs the Microsoft® FrontPage® extensions onto
your virtual server. Simply type fpinstall at a telnet command prompt
and answer a few simple questions and you will be ready to go!
fpuninstall
The fpuninstall command uninstalls the Microsoft® FrontPage® extensions from
your server. Simply type fpuninstall at a telnet command prompt and
the Microsoft® FrontPage® extensions will be removed from your server.
